(New) forum speed

Any remarks about the speed of the new forum? I think I have pretty
much optimised the Apache server for the current load, and I don't
notice any lag myself, but I am technically quite close to the main
network trunk and that will bias my measurements a bit.The box isn't a power house but should do great for something as
simple as the forum software. It's connected with one 100Mibit link
to a switch which sits on the 1Gibit optical link. From there it is
straight to the concentrator which sits on the 10Gibit main academic
network trunk. Can't be much closer to the big pipe...The big pipe terminates at the Amsterdam Internet Exchange where
loads of ISPs connect directly. For the VATSIM users: Europe-C is
next to my box and has the same network path. The UK-server on the
other hand is in the Amsterdam Internet Exchange (!! so much
for UK) and nearly always a bit quicker to respond, since it does not
need to talk through the two extra machines.Jeroen
