Something strange

Hi all,
First of all take a look at this picture:
http://www.airliners.net/open.file/726636/L/Of course the first thing that everybody can notice is that one of the captain's displays is inoperative but this is not what I'm talking about.
If you look carefully you will see that the Heading Reference switch is in TRUE position and not NORM position (You can also notice the 'T' next to the headings on the CDU and on the ND).
In PS1 the heading reference changes from MAG to TRUE in normal operation when the aircraft is north to the 73° latitude (I'm not talking about the southern hemisphere) and in other manual I saw that it is a little bit different but still at the aircraft present position (about 180nm east to N62 W060) the reference should have been MAG.
Any idea why did the pilots switch the reference to true? Is that an airline (Air France) policy or maybe just a demonstration to the photographer?
Thanks,
Avi Adin
