PS1 stuttering

Hey guys,

It's been a while since I've posted in this forum but then again it's also been a while since I've had the time to fly in PS1. Anyway the reason I write is because I've recently installed PS1 on a "new" computer and I'm not getting the performance I expected. I used to have PS1 installed on a Pentium 120 Mhz machine and now it's on a 333 Mhz machine. But on the new machine PS1 is not running smoothly. This is especially the case when connected to the broker and SB. This isn't a huge issue on short haul flights, yet on longer flights this momentary stuttering every few seconds adds up and can make the flight take significantly loner than planned. I've shut down as many programs running in the background as I dare to try and fix the problem yet I still get the stuttering.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can improve PS1's performance?
