Overhead Panel Prototype available!

Moi!

OK; to put my code where my mouth is, I have created SAPOPP, the Stand-Alone PS1 Overhead Panel Protoype.

It demonstrates how all graphical elements are bitmaps (i.e. not SVG elements), but the framework supplying context and "intelligence" (in this case, interactivity and animation) is SVG/XML.

You'll need the Adobe SVG Viewer plug-in to see this (link on the web page); as said before, available for Netscapes and IEs, but not Mozillas etc. (Mozilla has its own SVG plug-in project, but it goes a bit slow.)

Also, I have so far tested it only in IE. Netscape may have a problem with the "embed" tag.
