Didn't get there yet, but the database is back up and running, everything
included (new protected logins, autocleaning, backups...). Next is to
reload the old data (should be easy), rewrite trivial PHP connector
for new login system, and test-drive the existing PHP4 code under PHP5.

One or two more evenings I guess. When ACARS works, the other database
things will work as well.
