Yup, they are as close as I've seen until now. They are an extremely
close copy of the MCDUs in the Lufthansa FFS, which are the same units
as in the real planes. The only exception is the display. It's an LCD
display and not very much alike the razor-sharp vector font displays
of the real MCDUs. Also not in the right colour. But the net result
of these LCD screens is that the whole unit is only ca. 2cm thick
which is a big plus; and they might also offer colour displays today.

The PS1.3 interface is a piece of cake, really. The unit talks NMEA
and manages its own display and key board. Interfacing it to the MCDU
program would be easy, and the rest of the PS1 setup does not even
know that there is a new MCDU unit attached to the bus.
